At the end of the iPad movie, an interesting disclaimer appears. It states “This device has not yet been authorized as required by the rules of the Federal Communication Commission. This device is not, and may not be, offered for sale or lease, or sold or leased, until authorization is obtained.”
Perhaps Apple has not yet applied because it did not want the FCC to leak the application that would give away details before the announcement. Perhaps the final design is not finished. Perhaps….you fill in the blank. However, until the FCC approves it, iPad is not for sale.
