Bing is now available as an app for your iPad. It is surprisingly good. It feels like they have taken what you like with Pulse News Reader or Flipboard and combined it with a search engine that delivers content in a visually pleasant way.
A really neat feature is the ability to input your search with your voice.
You can also swipe left and right to go back and forth between web pages you have visited.
You can customize your view of news or find movies all very easily.
Also, you can control the adult level of content delivered. It would be nice if this feature could be locked so kids could not change the level…Maybe in an update.
There are more features that are very helpful. Email links to friends, save search history, follow trends, get images, find maps. You can even customize views of news.
There are a couple of tools that are available in certain web pages. The tool circled appears to be a razor tool for cutting information or highlighting?…I can’t figure it out. If you know, please comment.
( UPDATE 4.8.2011 According to Microsoft, Regarding your question about the red tool, it is mainly used to highlight words on the website that matches your search query. Should you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us back. Thank you and have a great day. Best regards,Charles Bing Technical Support )
