Microsoft has updated its iPad version of Word to 1.1. This 260 MB download allows you to *read* Word documents for free. To create and edit, an Office 365 subscription is needed and includes Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote.
The new update includes:
• Send PDFs: You asked, we listened. Now you can send Word files as PDFs.
• Picture Tools: Crop to focus on just the right part of a photo, or reset to undo your changes.
• Fonts: Third-party fonts are now available in the Fonts menu.
