Together 3 is a productivity clipping app that allows you to keep text, documents, images, movies, sounds, web pages, bookmarks in an organized way. The iCloud library integration is the part that is most promising and, in the past, has been very frustrating.
The latest updates to both the Mac and iOS versions seem to resolve issues related to quickly syncing with iCloud between the desktop application and the iOS version.
Now, when you add something from the Mac version, you see the item appear in the iOS version and vice versa. The sync takes a few moments.
One of the features of the Mac app is the shelf where you can drag items directly into the app.
Assuming you have set up your Together library using iCloud, in actual practice, it was helpful to forget the current library on the iOS version to allow the app to refresh completely. Make sure your Mac version is up the one that is completely up to date, saved on iCloud and then try the following…
On you iOS device, quit Together by double tapping the home button and swiping the app upwards. Then, in Settings, on the far left column, scroll down to the apps and then tap the Together icon. To the right, you will have the option to “Forget Current Library” by toggling the switch. Do that and then restart Together. You should see “Checking for iCloud Libraries.” Wait and then select the iCloud library presented to you that is the same as the Mac iCloud version you are using.
This process is described on the Together support page.
