Word Adds Smart Lookup

The latest update to Microsoft Word for iOS is out and brings the version up to 1.25.

This app in conjunction with the subscription service offered by Microsoft, offers you an opportunity to work on your Mac and the go by uploading and accessing your documents via various connected services like OneDrive, Dropbox, Edmodo and more.

You can even share the document you are working on with a person who can edit the document via a web browser. A subscription with Microsoft is required for this feature.

The latest update allows you to get useful information, images and definitions by pressing and holding on a word or phrase and choosing Smart Lookup. The first time you use this service, you are presented with a warning that the data is sent to Bing. The data includes the word and surrounding content.

The reference content appears in a column to the right.
