Apple has announced the much anticipated AirPods with Wireless Charging Case for $199. According to Apple, “Now with more talk time, voice-activated Siri access — and a new wireless charging case — AirPods deliver an unparalleled wireless headphone experience. Simply take them out and they’re ready to use with all your devices. Put them in your ears and they connect immediately, immersing you in rich, high-quality sound. Just like magic.”
Based on Apple’s web page, the AirPods are second generation with 5 hours of listening time and up to 3 hours of talk time on one charge. If you put the AirPods in the case for 15 minutes, you get up to 3 hours of listening time and 2 hours of talk time.
What you may not have noticed is that if you already own AirPods, you can buy just the Wireless Charging Case for $79 that should be compatible with existing AirPods.
